2nd European Workshop on the Integration of Knowledge,Semantic and Digital Media Technologies

29 November - 1 December, 2005, IEE Savoy Place, London

Special Sessions

An IST Symposium takes place on the second day of EWIMT, December 1, 2005, featuring the launch of the 7th Framework Programme, a Keynote on the IST vision and informative talks from EU commission representatives.

The aim of the Symposium is to present the ongoing work and achievements of FP6 projects, as well as the vision and objectives of the successful IST Call 4 proposals that start in early 2006, in order to identify commonalities and discuss possibilities for exploitation and collaboration.

A number of projects have been selected by the Organising Committee after consultation with EC Project Officers, and invited to submit a paper for this clustering event. All papers submitted have been reviewed by independent experts in the field. Most papers are presented in two National and IST Projects poster & demo sessions during the IST Symposium, while a very small set of the best papers are selected for a presentation in an oral session.

In total, 29 National and IST Projects participate in these special sessions:
