Motorola is represented in aceMedia by Motorola Ltd in the UK.

Motorola Ltd is the co-ordinator of aceMedia, and also contributes to human factors, multimedia processing, privacy, system development and integration, and exploitation activities within aceMedia.

Motorola Ltd is represented by two groups : Motorola Labs' Centre for Applications, Content and Services, which specialises in development of end-to-end mobile multimedia communication solutions based on a user centred design approach; and the Wireless Applications Group, which is part of Motorola's Networks Solutions business. Motorola Labs has also much experience in scalable video coding, personalisation, and agent technologies. Motorola Labs has a strong human factors team, which achieved success in IST FP5 projects such as BUSMAN, TRUST and SCOUT.

In addition to supplying the Project Manager, Motorola will contribute significant technical resources to aceMedia in constraint reasoning and development of self-governing rules for privacy protection, scalable media content delivery tools, aceMedia system architecture, especially as relates to mobile communication networks, aceMedia system integration, user requirements research and user evaluation. Motorola will lead and contribute to the workpackage on exploitation and dissemination, and will contribute strongly to project self-evaluation activities.

Motorola Ltd's Networks Solutions team is very experienced in the development of wireless applications that demonstrate mobile handset and network capabilities. This team has demonstrated Seamless Mobility applications in Cannes, Abu Dhabi, Moscow and Mauritius. With core competence in user interfaces and distributed systems using a number of development platforms, including J2ME, J2SE and relational databases, Motorola's Networks Solutions team will focus on achieving a feasible aceMedia mobile application. This team will also benchmark the mobile aceMedia application on different Motorola handsets and networks.
